Girls holding hands—Alexis Ganesly, 13, took this photograph at Delmas 2 in Port au Prince, Haiti. Delmas 2 is the only tent city established by and dedicated exclusively to the deaf Haitian population and their families.

SPOTLIGHT PHOTOS: Just wanted to share some of our favorite images from Chad, Africa with you guys today. We were in the village of N’Djamena last year building clean water wells, and our photographer snapped some great shots of the community’s kids that week. Isn’t the mother/daughter photo particularly touching?
